  Can UPsafety integrate with my current Records Management System or student record system?
  
  Yes, our software includes a fully customizable export function so that data you collect with our system may be imported into any System that allows for data import. To verify that your RMS/SRM System is compatible, simply inquire with your current vendor to ensure their product is capable of importing data. Please note that our system may be used as a complete stand-alone ticketing system and export of data is not required. If you have any further questions, as always, we are happy to assist you.
  
  What does it mean that the solution is "Effective for a Department of One or One Thousand"?
  
  Expensive and outdated servers are no longer required. By eliminating servers, UPsafety solutions offer superior productivity to any size department. The UPsafety Cloud provides unprecedented security and reliability without the need for large capital expenditure and additional staffing.
  
  Typically IT solutions, especially for public safety, are expensive and time consuming to implement. What makes UPsafety different?
  
  The UPsafety Cloud is the difference. Triple redundant data, highly secure and guarded premises, and meticulous backup procedures all lead to one conclusion; Internal or hosted servers don’t belong in new parking enforcement applications because technology has superseded their relevance and the expense can no longer be justified.
  
  What is the Cloud and what are its advantages?
  
  The Cloud refers to computing resources accessed through a standard computer and browser. If you use the internet, then you are engaging the Cloud in the course of your use of the internet. It sounds simple, because it is simple. Now the smallest companies can have the same computing horsepower as the largest enterprises.
  
  Why are Cloud application solutions so cost effective?
  
  All of the resources and costs associated with typical IT solutions are now managed by the Cloud application providers. We use providers you already trust like Microsoft, Google and IBM. All of the costs associated with physical infrastructure (servers, firewalls, backups, redundancy, etc.) are distributed by myriad applications.
  
  Is our data protected and secure?
  
  Yes. We and all of our partners utilize state of the art security such as SHA-2, (designed by the National Security Agency for data encryption), STS Secure Token Service (security for user information), PCI DSS Auditing (for credit card transactions), Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA), and our Cloud has obtained the ISO/IEC 27001:2005 certification for Information Security Management.
  
  The Cloud deployment utilizes the Microsoft Global Foundation Services (GFS) datacenters. The data center is physically secured with fire, flood protection, high security locks, closed circuit cameras, biometric devices, electronic ID card readers and alarms. All access is secured with positive ID Access Control Lists.
  
  We have a unique set of requirements. Will UPsafety be able to work with us?
  
  Yes. The UPsafety solution is easily tailored to accommodate your unique requirements; typically with no additional programming or associated costs.
  
  Does UPsafety have e-Commerce options for Ticket and Permit Payments?
  
  Yes we have both! They are customized to fit your needs and provide a seamless interface with the UPsafety Cloud. This feature is included in our monthly mobile license fee.
  
  What equipment do I need to use the UPsafety Cloud?
  
  Either a Mac or a PC with internet access, a web browser and your logon information is all that you need to access the UPsafety Cloud applications from any location.
  
  Are there specific web browsers that I must use to access the UPsafety Cloud?
  
  The UPsafety Cloud application can run on any computer with an Internet connection and supports one of the following browsers:

  Mozilla Firefox®
  
  Apple Safari® version 5.1
  
  UPsafety makes every effort to test and support the most recent versions of internet browsers. For all browsers you must enable JavaScript, cookies, and SSL 3.0.
  
  What about consumable costs?
  
  Consumable costs are always significantly less with UPsafety when compared to preprinted tickets and envelopes. If you can find a lower cost source, use them.
  
  In many cases, the cost savings of switching to UPsafety waterproof/archival quality tickets alone pays for the cost of the UPsafety system! An average ticket using the UPsafety solution costs about 4 cents.
  
  What type of ticket paper does the UPsafety system use?
  
  We recommend and sell the highest quality polyvinyl thermal tickets with direct UV/Sun sustainability. This means that tickets issued by UPsafety will last in rain, snow and high sunlight without concern for legibility or ticket breakdown. Also, there is no need to use costly envelopes.
  
  Is support included in the price?
  
  Yes! We provide direct support to you for as long as you have a subscription with UPsafety. Included in the initial deployment is training and customization for officers in the field as well as your back office staff. Service and training doesn’t stop there.   What ticket writer/hardware do I need to use with this solution?
  
  The following hardware options are available to you:
  
  The ultra-rugged N5Scan
  
  Client-supplied Android device partnered with a Printek printer
  
  ToCite Mobile will work seamlessly on either of these options.
  
  What is the warranty on UPsafety hardware?
  
  UPsafety warranties the N5Print and N5Scan for the length of time outlined by the client's initial contract within the UPsafety solution. A client's personal Android devices are not covered under this warranty.
  
  Who manages our UPsafety Cloud system backups of our data?
  
  UPsafety Technical Service personnel manage all data backups and restores along with any security updates.
  
  How do you deal with privacy issues for agencies such as FERPA and HIPPA?
  
  We do not collect or save personally identifiable information of any sort whatsoever.
  
  Do servers still serve important functions?
  
  Yes, with a sturdy rope tied to the server, it will keep your fishing boat from drifting too far from that perfect spot! Joking aside, in our opinion, no.
  
  Can I revert back to paper should the need arise?
  
  Yes. Simply transcribe the hand written citation directly into the Cloud.

  How long does training typically take?
  
  Training is an on-site 1-day session, and the client determines the length. Typically, training lasts between 4-8 hours depending on how much of the solution the client has chosen to use (i.e. permitting, ForCommerce, hardware, etc.) as well as the number of people being trained.
